Plus you can hang around the area and ask passers by if they know the way to amarillo. That and the prok ribs do it for me, but i'm guessing this joint is in Ankara (although the address and phone number seem to indicate otherwise)

Twat!!! Read the heading !!! 'Ankara' ring any bells?? And '312' area code is not istanbul.Apart from that, spot on with your observation JC
I think this Amarillo bar is one of Flying Dutchmans hang outs cos its run by a dutch or belgian guy (they all look the same anyway )

The guy who runs the place, along with his Turkish wife, is Belgian and goes by the name "Lucky Luke". The pub is just around the corner from my place.

I went to this place one for lunch once and it was TOTALLY empty, I gather it's really much more of an evening joint. Their collection of American Western decor was impressive, tho. I'd love to check out the Wednesday night scene, but I have to teach until 9:30. That's probably too late for happy hour, but if I arrive 10-ish, will the festivities still be continuing?

Happy hour finishes at 9 pm (I think) but most people stay on. I haven't been for a while and I'm guessing that it may be a bit dead at the moment because of summer.
