 Ankara peeps we have touchdown + Turkish language Schools
After much thought it looks like İm gonna be moving out to Ankara in Jan 08
My first priority is to find a Turkish Language course in Ankara when İ arrive, does anybody know of any???

Tomer seems to be the one that everyone goes to. Very grammer-based and heaps of homework/study but if you do your work you will come out speaking Turkish very goodly.

thanks ill get in touch with these guys, im aiming to be in ankara from jan 7 2008 for 2 to 3 mths, so will have enough time to grasp the basics,
im also making enquiries about teaching english as a foriegn language this end to offer in turkey,

OK today I emailed my application for a 4 week intensive course starting jan 8 2008,
So it kinda looks like Im gonna be residing in Ankara for that duration

No not a journalist, but I do have an interest in current affairs.
Yeah I know Oz likes to go the football a lot
Im really wondering what to do with myself out in Ankara to be honest
Are there any good bars playing decent music at all???

usually Spine, Oz Kanka and me - occasionally Mrs. Spine. The topic of discussion is either plotting the downfall of Arikan and Mini-me (RSA) or general bollocks about politics, religion, football, etc.

well if there's regular Ankara get togethers i wouldn't mind coming along too if that's OK?
I've been living in Ankara for the last few weeks, but i'm going to be in Istanbul more going forward, but still Ankara for most of the mid week period.....i'm always up for setting the world to rights!

Well I phoned thse guys to apply and they were lacking in interest, told me to apply off the internet.
So a few weeks back I filled out the form and sent it in and still heard nothing back

well the tunali branch seems to have zero customer service skills, its laughable
i dont land in ankara till jan 7 and the course starts jan 8
