 19. Ankara Uluslararasi Film Festivali
Anyone ever been or know anything about this?
i.e. Does it sell out ( things like this do back home - D.C.) or can I just show up and get ticks? take it that it will be all in Turkish....

I'm sure Spine was talking about Mrs. Spine knowing something about this. You may want to ask him.

In regards to the films - language wise, they will be shown in the original. Most, if not all, of those which are non-English will have English subtitles and then below that Turkish subtitles. As for tickets, best to show up a couple of hours before a film, get a ticket and then go and have dinner or whatever.

Thank you Seggiest, even if you are taking the piss, I'm nowhere near 40. Back on topic and I'm sure everyone will be glad to know that the ankara film festival this year has a football category... I'll post the relevant details once I can figure out when exactly the films are being played.

Nope these will be film festival type footy flicks... you know what I mean, hard luck stories with bad endings... much like supporting Genclerbirligi. Don't worry though, we will still be meeting up at the Chopin Bar two hours before screen off.
