If you are going for a small car you can probably get it cheaper but Turkey is very expensive for hiring cars

Come on, driving in Ankara is easy. In how many other cities would you be able to turn right oto a three lane busy road and then turn left again in 200 metres. Driving in Turkey is also great training for driving when on holidays in places like Rome, Madrid etc

At New Year I was driving in the centre and was directed to stop by a policeman, which considering the junction was fine. He let some other traffic go, and then I thought my turn but NO he decided that it was too cold and left; leaving me stranded; Bastrad

Ahhh yes, I must qualify my comments, driving in Ankara is fine as long as there are no traffic police around. Just why they bugger up traffic at intersections where the lights are in perfect working order is beyond me.

Ankara is great for parking.
Everybody drives in a proffesional way, sign posts are clear and give plenty of warnings, Ankaraites are the most proffesional parkers, nobody says "amina koyim" to you if you cut them up, roads are like driving on velvet and er um cant think of anything else.
oh yes and to add, getting lost and confused is unheard of.
