I am an American musician who has released a few records and toured around the states and Europe. I am moving to Turkey this fall and am looking for venues to play shows. Does anyone here have any ideas or have links to places I could look into? Thanks!

what genre of music do you play?

I play solo, with an acoustic trio, and with a full rock band, depending on the situation/venue. I do mainly the singer-songwriter thing. Since I am not known in Turkey, I'd like to play wherever I can just to get started. I'm sure i'll spend a lot of time opening for local bands to build up an audience.

hmm I see well there are a lot of rock bars down here that I will call up and ask to see if you can play. There is "Manhattan" one of the more elite rock bars in Ankara that I would personally suggest you play there.
When exactly are you planing on coming down to Ankara? Let me know so that I can tell the venues

I will be moving to Turkey on October 1 and will be living in Istanbul. I would like to do a little acoustic tour in mid-October just to acclimate myself to Turkey. Then the next time around in maybe early November i'd like to bring a band.
