I'd forgotten the sense of freedom in Ankara traffic where traffic lights and road signs act as modern art, placed there merely as suggestions, not rules.

what is the bar scene like? When I was there we used to go to this funky, tired-looking bar called AKUARYUM BAR in Gaziosmanpasa where all the tables and even the bar itself were fish tanks. The one at the bar had a huge freaky fish that would stare at you for hours, then lunge at the glass to try to attack you...

Other one was behind Karum--filistin sokak I think. Lord Kinross (when I just arrived and couldn't manage all-turkish conversation) and another one further up (I'll remember name soon)

well there was this great place called rush in filistin but thats just a restaraunt now, but faces, friends & trends and hayyami(which isnt a club but a new wine house) is good
