Post Doga Tepe
Doğa Tepe restaurant in Hisarüstü.

Went their for dinner last Saturday. Amazing place. Really huge. Doğa Tepe has both in door and out door tables. The choice during summer time is to sit outside and enjoy the amazing view. Especially in the evening. Nice romantic atmosphere. Great place to bring your date

The view: the FSM bridge, Anadolu Hisarı, Bebek sahil and the surrounding areas.

The food was good but the service could have been much better. Anyways. My stars:

2 stars = Service
3 stars = Price level (its not expensive considering the location and the good food
4 stars = Food
5 stars = Amazing view and location

Directions:
Off Nispetiye Cad. all the way to Hisarüstü and Boğaziçi University. Turn to the left at the round about and follow the road until you arrive at the last stop for busses. At this last stop on the right there is an entry to Doğa Tepe.

So that's the name of the place in the park...I used to date a guy who lived around there, and he always scorned it off as a "rich person' place..."

Well, it is a rich persons place... But the price level isn't that expensive... However, not everyone in Istanbul can afford to have dinner there... Poor souls, they miss out on an amazing view..

That's the thing. Restaurants by and large aren't that expensive here--except for the Ciragan Palace and a few elite fish places. It's just a stigma that some people have. The appropriate clothes to wear there--now they're expensive here. :(

Yeah like 360 - the food isn't expensive - just the booze!

I honestly think it is a very expensive place right now. I used to go there since it is open, but the last time I have been there, I ordered a 24 ytl plate (only salmon fish on spinach).. well there was no side dishes or any potatoes or at least a leaf of rocket by it, there was domatoes underneath the fish, instead of spinach!! My companion paid the bill I felt sorry 4 him as we had ordered a very nice bottle of wine... btw, did anybody mention about the toilets??? they caharge you 24 for a salmon steak but still you gotto pay 1 ytl for the toilets, that is freezing cold because they are out in the garden...

Post APRIL's been there done that
well that place is pretty alright but I was shocked by their guest conduct last December when I had a highschool reunion there (yeah my HS is in Switzerland so these are the Roseans living in Turkey) and they pushed me to give a number for a menu (which I objected to) and then in the end asked to pay for those who didnt show up. Also that one guy there is very greedy and he stole the translation of a menu that I had into English and I asked them not to use it in their brochures. So I dont wish to go there anymore.
