anybody mentioned "ciya"...it is in kadikoy and a very good resturant...check the website... http://www.ciya.com.tr/they serve falafel but not like a joint...good falafel nonetheless

i loooooooove ciya.. .hands down my favourite restaurant in the city! and their falafel is pretty good.. as is there bulgur kofte!! mmmm now my tummy is growling

You could make it at home, its very easy, and takes 10 min max (including frying)

Great to hear about some places where you can get falafel. I should try them out. I tried falafel at Ne Fish once but it was really not like the egyptian falafel. I dont advice anyone to try it there.
Oh and Noubia... I guess we are 21/2 egyptians in turkey now as i am half egyptian.

I had some pretty tasty falafel last week at a small cafe in Taksim called 'Şiirci.' It is on a parallel street to Istiklal called 'Süslü Saksı' Sokak. (On the Tarlabası side, or right side, as you are walking down towards Galatasaray. A few minutes walk from the Bakırköy, etc, dolmuşes).
The meze plate was also delicious. It was owner-operated and service was excellent.
