For the past two summers, it has been some kind of 'look at me I'm cool' parade
Yes, I too prefer a "look at me, I'm VIP" parade.
I feel the need to drink until I can't feel feelings anymore.

RSA, VIPs who are cool don't exude that 'look at me' vibe. But what can you do? People look anyway. It's the wannabe's who do.

I feel your pain.
Only last week I went to Reina, where I and other VIP's snorted cocaine mixed with heroin of of the waitress' tits.
All the wannabe's were looking, I hate it when that happens.

Dontcha? If you had put on that 'Vegas show' just to be looked at, that's painful indeed. Cool VIPs are totally discreet.
It's not about the money. That's too easy. It's the recognition and the treatment. Right Charly?
It so is about the money! I don't want to pay to go to Crystal for instance, as there are so many twats there who can't dance and who every time smash my glass. Yes I normally get taken up to the DJ booth area where far from lording it over the people I sit on my arse and get hassled by coked up chicks and letchy men! Oh and the occasional person with influence 'Yes mine is a vodka'.
My story above is just an illustration of the lunacy of the establishment and this silly government guy. Mistaken identity
I wouldn't expect this to happen again. The best clubs are no problem, often getting in for free, but to have a problem with a club that sits on transvestite prostitute street in Taksim - hell that's a different matter!
If I'm seen as a dubious character then bugger it, I'm going to start handing out calling cards

You hit the bullseye Charly. It's the lunacy of the establishment there and these guys who represent those in it! And it's not just them per se but also those who share their perception - a large segment of the population who thinks that all foreign women who go to clubs are of the 'ill repute type' is to blame. And in the meantime, it's even taxing for most guys. Heck they have to bring a harem in to gain entry at some places. Or cough up some big bills. On that point, you are right on the mark. Money talks if connection fails.
C'mon, why is that though? Men + girls=in. Men only=private party. It's a door policy that prevails not just in Istanbul but also in Paris, Cannes and major US cities. At certain invitation-only party here in SFcalls for VIP + 3 girls, VIP + 2 girls + 1 boy. My boy guests cannot outnumber the girls. What if I have more guy friends who'd like to go out that night?
