Yeah - all fine for lunch. But as Charly rightly pointed out, they are not really for dinner.

The point I am trying to make is that there is not one quality restuarant in Beşiktaş where you could 'dress up' to go to. (apart from Vogue, which is not really Beşiktaş)

My conclusion is that Beşiktaş is a dive! Yep, I've grown to be really disappointed by it. Gap in the market though.

Yes, but why do you insist on going to dinner in Besiktas? You don't live there anyway.

Good point! But Mymoon won't shift his lazy ass from there sometimes, so it's visited frequently for tavla, pool, bowling.

I'd like to know about the vegetarian place too. Please publish details when you can Charly. Thanks.

A friend brought me to a multi-level pub type place right on that main street heading up from the Bos on the left hand side. Their version of Tex-Mex food is served but I didn't find the food to be good, totally greasy as well. Maybe that's why I don't remember the name of the place.

Yep.. have eaten there..IMO, It's a good place to eat some raclette and swiss charcuteries.

Prepare to pay a steep price with the small food portion.

So basically the places around there are dives? I did go to a decent fish/seafood restaurant one the evening last summer. It has great Bos views. since it is right by the water...it may be the place Mystery has been too. It's a proper restaurant with cloth tablecloths and napkins. Older clientele though. The food is very good but I would only go there for lunch of dinner and maybe a martini on the patio. It may be good for a 'quiet conversation' type of evening but I prefer the terrace in Bebek Otel for that sort of outing.
