What: Isis, wine bar/restaurant
Where: Kadife Sokak, aka Bar Street; Kadiköy/Moda (unsure where the division really is)
I went there last night with my bf and some of his friends. Now that's it's warm (

), they've opened up their back garden, a wonderfully large space with trees and stars overhead, perfectly done mood lighting, and an ancient Egyptian motif that's cheeky without being kitschy. The menu, in addition to typical resto-bistro fare, also offers tasting menus to be paired with various drinks. I myself chose the White Wine Plate. For 15 YTL, I had a delightful assortment of seafood, including an elegantly done caramelized salmon wrapped around poached apples; crab puffs; calamari rings, and shrimp with orange. The shrimp was slightly too sweet, but still pleasantly reminiscent of Malaysian cuisine.
The scene is sophisticated without being too tiki or hipster, and the service was fast and courteous. Bathrooms were also well maintained--I wish that went for the Boklu Dere that we had to pass to get there as well
All in all, I would give it a 5 out of 5; plus a recommendation as a suitable spot for a summer Asian side meet-up.
