 Musafir - Indian Restaurant
I found a nice Indian restaurant (more like a cafe) called Musafir. Its located on La-Martin Caddesi, Taksim. The curries are perfect.
Cheers.

Went there this sunday. Had a perfect lamb masala with white rice. Just tell how hot you would like it.

Have been there with Gilly, Ddens and Guy last week. The food was terrible (nothing like an authentic curry at all) and the place seems to be mainly frequented by cockroaches.
Dubb (in Sultanahmet) is still the place to go if you crave a decent (Indian) curry, as is the Pera Thai restaurant if you feel like Thai food (they have three (3) Thai woman cooking).

Totally agree with Musulko, the food was not Indian in the slightest, the 'tikka' was no more than BBQ chicken on a sizzling plate, the chapatis (we had to go forn them as they had no naan!) were dripping in oil, the other dishes were unrecognisable and they didn't have half the food metioned in the very weak menu. The beer was borderline too, I guess from flat old cans of Tuborg or something equally disgusting.
The Currymeister gives it a big thumbs down.

 Really Curry
I do agree Dubb is the best place in Istanbul for Indian food. Musafir seemed good for a qucik bite because of it location close to my office. Well, Jyrays the real curry in Istanbul would be my home ))) Would certainly like to invite fellow curry lovers soon! Lets plan an evening at my home in Levent

 Musafir Restaurant
Musulko do you have a connection with Dubb??? A friend or something??? Cocroaches??? Thats not fair. Terribly coarse. I am Indian and I work as a teacher very close to Taksim. Eat there very often. Just know that it is authentic indian food not the Europianized version that you might be familiar with. Oil dripping chapatis??? May be you, by chance had ordered Paratha instead?? If you dont know what parathas are, look up in the dictionary. I know the owner very well and would seriously talk about this. We can arrange a get-together at Musafir. Try it out and make your own decision. Personally I dont find Gilly, Ddens and Guys remarks sincere . It is very easy to cast a slur on someone. Isnt it??? Do you guys agree???

Hmm, well known posters that have a long history on EiT, vs. someone who has come out of nowhere to talk about the establishment in question..........funny, don't you think. What makes you think these people haven;t been to India, what convinces us that you aren;t just a "friend" of the owner, but perhaps the owner himself. BTW, have a chat with some of the staff at the Consulate, they seem to think Dubb superior as well. Are they not Indian?
