 Panorama at the Marmara
As some of you may know, Mrs Starman won a dinner for 2 at this place so we finally decided to go last night. Must say they had great views and made even better when I saw the prices on the menu and I wasnt going to pay them Not much of a choice from the menu and even the cheapest starter was 30 million. Anyway I ordered the caviar (79ylt), mixed meze (39ytl), salmon (45ytl) and prawns (55ytl). (didnt have the cheek to order lobster aswell). Portion were bloody small but I guess you pay for the artwork gone into making the dish look pretty. Main course was steak which wasnt cooked well enough and desert was a trolley of stuff you find in a normal tatlici. Beware cola costs 11 ytl here and beer was 25ytl. Conclusion: nice view, average service, outragous prices, small portions.
foot note: After I left the Marmara I went around the corner to get a yarim ekmek doner to make me feel that I had ate something.

We went there several years ago and I would agree with your review; it sounds very similar to what we had then!

Stayed for two months in the Marmara and succesfully managed to avoid eating their even once after I saw the prices.
