Fanatastic... try their milkshakes. So good I recommend an EIT outing. vegetarian options too.

I noticed they were there and even pricier than the ones in London. I haven;t tried them yet, as I really do not want it to be another of a hundered disapointments when a food related enterprise in Turkey opens up and it is subprime compared to those that I have had elsewhere. Has anyone familiar with the originals eaten at the Canyon one yet and could give a comparison?

Sorry, can't give a comparison, but can say that I went there with RSA and we were less than underwhelmed. We were the only two customers in the place but they still managed to get our orders wrong. Didn't think the meat was anything special either. Overpriced and overrated in my book but each to their own........................

I agree that its quite pricey 14-18YTL for a burger but I have been there a couple of times and was happy with everything including the service. It was packed both times I went but admittedly it was at the weekend. I was not aware that it was part of a chain but I liked it because all the ingredients were fresh, lettuce and tomato crispy, the bun seemed fresh with lots of sesame, nothing like the stuff thats around for sale in the shops or bakeries. The meat also tasted like meat, and wasnt too fatty. I am suprised that you didn't like it Maymun, I went in a group and we all did. the only drawback was the the chips are sold seperately but they were fantastic... piping hot and made from real potatoes - not reconstituted God knows what.
It would be nice to find out where others think the best burgers are to be had in Istanbul. I have tried house burger at House cafe but its not to great either and more expensive.

I'll just stick to the branches in London then, as I am sure that I'll be utterly disappointed. I already consider their London burgers to be "good" but not great, so I am sure these will be much worse. I also wonder what they do about sourcing their beef and how they describe it. Names such as Aberdeen and Angus don;t exst here and when there have been scares in the UK they go for Australian or Argentinian. Also they use high quality beef while in Turkey there aree little imports and there is no grading system.

I'd rather have a nicely dry aged T-Bone or Rib-eye when there.

I know and me too but last time we were there they brought a mixed platter with some sausages and a couple of burgers. Really they were absolutely fantastic. The snags weren't half bad either.
