Recommendation: TOCC, Tünel
Now it's TOCC, before it was Taps, then Peradox.
The latest incarnation is the best. Nicely designed smallish venue with a relaxed atmosphere. You sit perched slightly above busy Tünel so a perfect place for people watching. And hiding.
Wine list is not bad and food above average (menu is international with lots of steak dishes).
You can sit downstairs in the lounge or bar area or upstairs in the restaurant.
Prices are reasonable - this is a House Cafe level place so not cheap but not expensive (bottle standard wine YTL40-50, pizza/pasta YTL15, steak/fish YTL25-30).
I really like it because it is not noisy, is low-lit, has good wine, the atmosphere is cool, music not overbearing and the staff are really nice. The tinted windows put people off venturing inside, which can be a good thing if you want a seat. Tünel is a nightmare in the summer.
