 Thai Restaurant çokçok
Was there this week, together with some Thai food freaks.
Food: We absolutely loved it. Simply delicious, perfectly spiced, and “more Thai than in many other Thai restaurants even in Thailand” (someone else’s comment).
Drinks: Turkish and international wines, beer, 17 rather unusual cocktails (and no Mai Tai).
Service: Very friendly and committed. All staff members speak English fluently. The chef is a Thai lady, who (we were told) cooked for the king of Thailand in the past as well as for several ambassadors.
Prices: Cheap, considering the high quality, and also the prices in other places. Tom Yam soup 16 YTL, roasted duck 24 YTL, Sarafin Sauvignon blanc 70 YTL/bottle.
Rating: 5 Stars. Probably the best Thai restaurant in Istanbul, absolutely recommendable.

Been there a couple of times. Yes, the best for Thai food. The Tom Yam is just superb.

Sure, it's pretty good and the best in town (tallest building in Topeka), but 16ytl for a bowl of soup? Not exactly cheap.

Well we are talking about the BUL. So expect to pay more for quality stuff plus its not a local cuisine.

Does this beat Pera Thai in the "best Thai restaurant in Istanbul" category? If so, it is definitely worth a visit.

Everything is relative. You can get a Yom Tam soup at any strret stand in Bangkok which is superior and costs exponentially less. Less choice equals less quality and higher prices.
