Post Vogue, Besiktas
Went there last night.
A great view from the top of Besiktas plaza with a nice outdoor terrace. Food was good although didnt try the sushi but had myself a bit of duck which was great. good service and prices didnt seem to be taking the piss either.
Still after 3 courses I was still hungry and ended up having a couple of durums when I got home.

Agreed: re-view and outdoor terrace.

But it seems to me to be one of those businessmans' places that charges a premium because it knows most people are charging it to a company account somewhere. A beautiful location, but mediocre food and overpriced drinks. See also Ulus 29 and Sunset.

Gillmore girlz is a big fan of the sushi, but got stung on the bill when he ordered 4 bottles of saki

Def a business place. Cool waiters though - seem to like chatting to the foreign chick who encourages all her workmates to get wasted. Last time I went I had duck which was lovely!

StarStuffer - Everytime you go somewhere decent you fill up on street food afterwards - if you're not paying, why don't you go to town and order at least 2 mains!

cant really order another main course when the others are tucking into their desserts but the wine filled up the empty space temporarily

Sushi at vogue is one of the best i've had in town except at Sunset, didnt find the prices too bad, just have to watch how much sushi you order as can easily go over the top and end up with a doggy bag to take home. One of the worst is Sushi Co. Didnt find it good at all.

I agree with you JC, Ulus 29 is better and the food used to be better a while ago in Vogue, also try the food at Nu Pera (incredible terrace and great party time afterwards!

Post It was good actually
The company was better! I went with Gilly, Griffingrowl, GG's friend, RSA and Monsta in July. It was actually pretty good considering I had 'below SF Bay Area' expectations. There wasn't a private party (as we were told downstairs by the brainless bouncer) either. Sushi/sashimi is definitely better than Mori's and about a notch below Sunset's.
