I just finished it. Some reviewers refer to it as "Dickensian"...and I understand why...but I don't like Dicken's and I did really like this book. Heres from NY Times...scroll down to read description: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.h ... A9649C8B63

I have read Fingersmith; it was ok...Dickensian, I suppose it was. It's been ages since I last read Dickens.
I liked Tipping the Velvet better though.

I just got Night Watch and can't wait to read that one.
