Post narnia
I went to see Narnia the other night and it was fabbbbbbbbbb... I recommend it for both adults and kids. C.S Lewis must have some sort of affilation with Turkey... what with Edmund and his turkish delight and my hero, Aslan!! There were a few turkish carpets to be spotted in the film too... and the white witch 'jadis' kinda sounds like the turkish for witch 'cadi'...

great film, fab books... I wish I was 6 again... although I did spend too much time hiding in my wardrobe as a kid looking for a way into narnia!!

Trust me, you should go... OK, the film could never be as good as the book... but still, they've done a really good job with the film adaption.

I was in tears watching narnia, even though I know the book inside and out!! Do u think that Aslan is supposed to depict Jesus Christ?

Let me know what u think after you've watched it?

No, if you go to the last book, "The Last Battle", then he's either the gatekeeper to the afterlife or alternatively God.

I thought I'd brought them over with me but I've looked high and low for them and have come to the conclusion they're in the UK. I might buy a new set when I'm in the UK next week though, as my original set come from when I was about 9. Which frighteningly makes them almost 30 years old.

I started reading the Dawn Treader to Defne over Christmas, and found it hard work, as the language used is strange in the context of modern writing.

Which one was your favourite then, for me in order it was

Prince Caspian
Last Battle
Magicians Nephew
Silver Chair
Voyage of Dawn Treader
LW & W
Horse and the boy

Gotta be prince caspian and magicians nephew although they are all mixed up in my head (it's been years since I read them) my Dad read them to me and my sister when we were kids, so I have fond memories of those times. I look forward to doing the same when I have kids myself.

Any chance of picking up 2 sets???
