Yeah, from what I know, that's where a lot of the missionaries hang out...I'll let y'alls handle that how you wish.

Yes it is Greenhouse books.....It was a bit overpriced for my taste, I hate it when they put big markups books. Oh and yes about the christians I got that vibe too..they gave gece and I free coffee....we drank and ran before they could get to us, never went back!

ALso Linda's Book Exchange bring one, take one[/quote]
Hi Pollanna--just saw your message. are there any "bring one, take one" type of bookstores on the Anatolian side? I had brought quite a few with me but I go through books pretty fast, and new English ones are nasty expensive here..

Yes, the Book Exchange, 5 to 7 every evening Monday through Friday.
If you get to Sultanahmet, Java Studio, across from Mavi Ev Hotel, has a 2 for one exchange. Maybe set up something on your own. Say a lunch or dinner somewhere & everyone brings a few books.

Thank you for the tip, Verjen.
Have been trying to get some people organized on the Anatolian side actually. Will keep looking!

Yelhan,
Maybe post a get-together under activities? Eat, drink, exchange books?

Which of these is my best bet for bring 30, take none? I'm only going to move a few and I'm trying to find a good home for the rest.

Hi amerlok, I have about 50 or so books I'd be happy to exchange for others--mostly murder mysteries & crime genre. What kind of books do you have? And would you like to exchange them for the ones I've got?
