Post Bozcaada, Agva or Cesme for a March weekend?
Hi all,

Hubby n I are looking for a nice place to getaway for weekend in March to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary.

Between Bozcaada, Agva or Cesme, which would be good in March? (i.e. not too cold, can swim in the sea)
We are thinking of staying just 1 or 2 nights over a Sat/Sunday.

Prefer small boutique hotels and not chain resorts like the Sheraton (although I hear that's the nicest hotel in Cesme)

Suggestions / Advice please :) Thanks!

Dawn

for Boutique hotels check "Small hotels in Turkey". I know they have at least one in Bozcaada and one in Agva in that book. Also Nalan might advise on Agva. But i am sure you won't be abnle to swim in Agva or Bozcaada until May.

Don't know anything about Cesme.

Bozcaada is beautiful (we stayed at the Çapraz hotel if I remember rightly) but I think swimming in the at any of these 3 resorts in March is very optimistic.
If it's swimming you're after I'd suggest the Antalya/ Alanya region.

Bozcaada is lovely but takes a good 6-7 hours by car to get to from Istanbul. With only a few ferries a day you have to time your trip exactly right or you'll be waiting up to 4 hours for the next one. I wouldn't recommend the trek for a normal weekend but it is nice for a 3-day weekend from Istanbul. It will be very quiet (potentially boring) in March and there is no way you will be swimming there.
