 Camel Wrestling
This annual 'festival' holds no appeal for me personally and I'm sure there will be cries of 'animal cruelty!' but it's on the 7th of Jan in Bodrum (in Ortakent, if I remember correctly) for those who fancy some dromedary entertainment.

I think you'll be hard-pressed to find a camel which has ever died from this event. My understanding is one generally runs off before there is even contact.

I'm pretty sure there's no actual blood-shed too. Though I'm sure THY keep a close eye on the action just in case  I was referring more to the probable poor conditions in which the creatures are kept / trained....
