HI everyone,
What's the best way to get to Ephesus from Istanbul?
If we decide to fly, which airport in Istanbul should we fly out of?

From Ankara to Istanbul, which airport do you recommend to fly into for a weekend of sight seeing in the Sultanahmed area?

thanks in advance

Nearest airport to Ephesus is Izmir, about 45 mins - 1 hour depending on type of transport. It's actually only an hour & half or so from Bodrum too.
If you're relying on public transport, you'll need to get from the airport to the otogar then I guess it's any bus that's heading to Soke.

You won't have to go back into Izmir to get to Selcuk (in fact you would be backtracking if you did). Check tcdd.gov.tr to see if train times work - the train station is right next to the airport and there are some 3-4 trains a day. Alternatively, take a taxi out to the highway for about 5 ytl and catch the minibus to Selcuk from there.
