I had a flashback last night about a Bodrum boy - oooeerr missus. After my complaints about Altinkum, he said if I wanted real class then I should head off to Gumbet where I'd see even more beautiful British sights - naked foam parties, fat slappers with no knickers and live sex shows by pissed up porkies. I declined.
Mystery - don't leave the hotel.

Downtown Bodrum is ok and more mixed. Then go over to the Northern part of the peninsular to Golkoy and then Gumusluk (if you like fish).
The beach in Gumbet would be in a bad state at this end of the season and last time I went there in September the water had all sorts of crap floating in it, even condoms.

Oh, we're just missing each other. I will be coming back to Istanbul tomorrow after 2 months in Bodrum. The weather is still good though, although quite windy the last few days and a bit chillier in the evenings - but still warmer than Istanbul, I'm sure. Have a good holiday!

Well I was told by my boss tonight that 'the people who really love Bodrum come in September' and that 'the quality of people really improves'. Now, would that be because I am leaving or because you are arriving?

Hello, I m back from my holiday.
Yes Starman, Gumbet was like Cleethorpes really. Everything was English.
But more than Brits, Dutches were staying in the hotel I stayed. It was very difficult to see Turkish people around.
I needed a relaxing holiday, so pool & beach were greaat!!
Been a good girl and listened to yr advices
