Post Kusadasi..... what is it like ?
Hi All
I have been looking around for a house to buy, primarily as a holiday home for now, with a view to living there more permanently when i can afford to stop working.

I've got Kusadasi up on my list, for some reason the houses there seem to be a little cheaper than the other areas i have been looking at (Marmaris fetiye Bodrum etc). Does anyone know if there is a reason for that ?

Also, is there anyone on this site that lives near Ladies Beach ? i've been looking for a website to search for specific information on the Kusadasi area and havent yet found one, so any suggestions would be welcome.

One final point, do many people here live on a compund (site) and if so, what would you say are the advantages and disadvantages of living on one as opposed to living in a residential area.

Thanks peeps.

sorry for being late to reply,

Kusadasi is cheaper and cleaner than the Bucket and spade brigade areas of south Turkey, Mostly Turkish people own and go to Kusadasi and Davutla areas, There are many sites around in the Davutla areas at the right prices, if you want more of a disco action area the id say Kusadasi, But saying that, Davutla is only 15 mins away by car :D

More expensive TBH mate, but worth a look all the same, Didim has a large English gathering.

Didim is smaller than Kusadasi and has an ever-growing ex-pat population.

Kusadasi is a lovely town out of season but too much for me in summer - too much of everything, especially traffic and hassle.

You can still pick up resale properties at a reasonable price here in Didim if you check out some of the smaller agents that aren't trying to sell the ones they've built themselves.

Also there a a huge number of properites for sale here, brand new and resales. It's really a buyers market at the moment.
