JC- apparently it's a 'Lampuka' or if you are biologically minded Perciformes Coryphaenidae and they taste bloody nice ; very meaty no bones, a bit like palamut.

Steve it wasn't the alcky fisherman I've found a better one, if anyone likes fishing he will take you out all day, provide the necessary kit , all for 50 lira

Wow! Love fishing. So civilised (apart from clubbing the fish that is).
How many kilos was it? Looks like at least 8!
Congrats! Did you donate the spare to the local restaurant?

Moon - I fish well but I throw them back (after battering them senseless - like that takes a lot).
