Post Monkey magic too!!!
Bloody Hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First impressions o Calış...hmmmmmm............... Well,i've already had two barbers try and rip me off for a shave, so it hasnt started too well!! The 3rd barber was cheaper...but a miserable git. Dont the locals like Brits or something?? Or is it because of the local expat community not wanting to assimilate??

Seems a bit small, but maybe havent explored enough yet!! Found a nice hotel (Rebin) with a pool, bar, air conditioning for 45 mil per night which i guess is quite reasonable.

So far......mixed impressions!! Beach appears to be stony, but then again ive got a nice poıol so i dont give a toss!! No service tills apparently!! What the f***!!!

Lets see what tonite brings. Bit of luck meeting up with Pollyanna and her hubby. Maybe the other Caliş members will show their faces?? Mrs Miserable...are u there??

The bar we are meeting in I am not too sure of, but never mind, life is full of experiences!!!! As long as they sell booze then I am happy!!!!

i dont think Starmans very welcome in there. As a matter of fact i was talking to a fellow hotel guest today, he said he'd been to the Forum bar and thought it was shite and run by muppets!!

İ must go there and try it out, and of course send Starmans best regards!!!

Gotta say the hotel is great and the staff are very friendly.

Looking forward to meeting Mrs Miserable tonite. Shame about Pollyanna being up to her eyeballs in work :(

Saw some great ''moustache'' action by the pool this afternoon. Big german, small swimming trunks, long flowing golden locks and a big blond bumfluff moustache!!

Priceless, god love 'em!!

Was he wearing those lycra trunks? They Germans love them!! When will these men learn that they look much better in the longer type swimming trunks rather than these "tight pants" clinging to all their "bits"

Anyway on a less disgusting note, it was lovely to meet "Maymunn" last night. he is a really nice bloke! Starman will be a bit put out as maymunn did not think that Calis was that bad!!! but I will leave Maymunn to fill you in!!!!!

i dont want to fill Starman in!! What a disgusting thought

True, i dont think Çaliş is that bad, but then again, its not exactly holiday heaven!! There are some nice places you can go to, mainly the ones that are frequented by Turks.its all a bit cheesy but then ur gonna get that in most resorts.its just a case of scraping the mould off the cheese :)

Talking of mould, i've walked past the Forum bar twice now, and it looks pretty lifeless. Might give it a try later for the novelty factor! if i get shite service i'll drop Starman and John F's names into the conversation as im leaving..........

Mrs Miserable isnt at all miserable!! She has a dry glaswegian humour and is a sweetie. We had a great nite out involving breakdancing, tango, fire eating and discussing the real life soap opera that is Çaliş.

İf anybody is down this way, i'd recommend a short stay....if only to cheer up Mrs Miserable :D

Pollyanna
Whatever we call them they should be banned!!!! I notice that in Calis the most popular colour of these "garments" appears to be black! However last year the German tourists appeared to be favouring the "stripey" version!!!! with stripes in an assortment of colours! Who actually manufactures these things?????

what's worse was the 60+ banana hammockers who felt much too much at ease changing out of their hammocks into dry shorts right on the beach. they could well benefit from a bit of modesty (or maybe I was the one hoping to benefit....) that was last year
