Post Weird place to visit
If you are ever around the Olu Deniz area you can take local transport or a 15 minute drive to a place called Kayakoy .

This used to be known as Karmylassos and it was a small Greek town with around 2000 houses and a few schools and churches prior to the independence war. Due to various political arrangements the Greeks were repatriated leaving the town totally empty.
It has remained a ghost town since , it's very strange wandering about there. definitely worth a visit and it's free.

went there 15 yrs ago before all the bucket and spaders ruined the neighborhood. Well worth a walk around but watch out for the donkey that roams around there. Bastard tried to kick me once.

If that was Bodrum, they'd have sold 'em for £60k a shot with a very attractive renovation package for another 50 by now. Having said that, the quality of build actually looks better than some of the shite they're throwing up along the coast.
