Post Any restaurant suggestions for Christmas eve?
I want to go out to eat that night. Called up a few hotels and so on but none really impressed me- any suggestions?

This is what the Hyatt has to offer:
Celebrate Christmas with a festive dinner buffet, specially prepared for this occasion at Agora Restaurant on the 24th and 25th of December.
75 YTL per person including VAT

Gather at a table at Spazio with your loved ones for Christmas dinner, and savour either a five-course menu that has been prepared specially for this night, or our a la carte menu. Make this Christmas a memorable one.
135 YTL

check out Mikla (Marmara Pera Hotel) - Best view in Istanbul - great food.

Vogue - Besiktas Plaza - simply super.

Bebek Balikçe - Great fish - on the water.

Pera Thai - Great thai food - Tunel

360! Istiklal - Fun, great views - good value for what you get.

Less expensive option - Imroz , Nevizade - Great Meyhane!

Vera Vera - Arnavutkoy - popular Meyhane!

Persianjap, did you go to Swissotel for their Christmas Eve dinner last night? Because that's where I was! Not too bad. I ate waaaay too much and rolled home to lie on the couch and watch the end of Polar Express.

How was it? was it full of expats and cheerful holiday turks? I was at home with my flatmate deciding what to do? we gave up on the idea of xmas eve and focused on what to do for nye. we brainstormed to the point of passing out.

Dinner was good - we both ate waaay too much :D Actually not too many expats around, mostly Turks. Although it was a nice enough dinner out, it was all a bit soulless and missing in the Christmas spirit. Next year, I think we'll have to try to do Christmas at home (UK or South Africa) instead.
