 Cobblers
Does anyone one know a good cobbler?
I need a pair of men's leather soled shoes re-heeled. I've seen the shoe shine guys around but they don't seem to do repairs. Levent/4.Levent area would be best.
Thanks

alters, try one of the many malls- Kanyon, Metro City or Cevahir in that area and I'm sure you will find a cobbler inside there somewhere.
I know there is definitely one at Akmerkez, but try your luck with the others first.

In Istikalal Cad. opp. to D&R book shop ( adj. Agra Camil), you can find one AYKABALIRI BABA. He charges very little.

Personally I use Richard, Earl of Bradford's recipe for Beef Cobbler with Cheese Scones on top.

Sounds much more tasty than a pair of brogues!
Thanks to Bodrum Chic too

The one in Kanyon is the same as the one in Akmerkez which is the same as the one at the airport which is the same as the one in Levent, which is Levent Lostra Salon, good work, but they have gotten prcey over the years as they have expanded.

only the one in Akmerkez is not the same as the one in Kanyon.
It is Akmerkez Lostra Salonu, which I suggest to be avoided by anyone.
Lately I had couple of heels repaired, bad work, and very expensive.
The one in Kanyon is Levent Lostra Salonu. They are very good in reparing bags btw.

The one in Kanyon is very good.
I've had heels & bags, and my hubby's shoes re-soled there.

I used the Levent branch which was recommended by a couple of users including tallpony above.
10YTL for a new wooden heel block and half rubber/leather heel sole on a same day service. Maybe someone will let me know that I've been robbed by Turkish standards, but I'm very happy with the result for the price.
