Post documentary film project - Americans wanted
I offered to post this here, I think it sounds interesting:

My name is Myrna and I am working with filmmaker Topaz Adizes on a
feature documentary, THE AMERICANA PROJECT, which will have a scene in
Istanbul.

As part of this production, we are shooting 10 scenes throughout the
world exploring American identity. The film will be shot documentary
style, and will examine what American identity means in different
places in the world.

We'll be in Istanbul from July 16-29. For this, we're looking for
volunteers in Istanbul who would like to participate with us on this
exciting documentary!.

The time commitment would be little ... Only few hours on 1 or 2 of
the days we'll be there, and we'll work with your schedule to make it
happen !

Below please find a rough list of the candidates we're looking for:

* Turkish and Americans - male or female - attending or involved with
Election day activities.

* An American couple (tourists or a couple who has recently arrived in
Turkey) – ideally, middle age. Curious about Turkey, and sightseeing
Turkish tourist destinations. Willing to be part of documentary
project for interviews and going shopping to a local bazaar.

* Grand Bazaar Turkish rug/carpet salesman- (2 or 3) middle age male
salesman. Willing to be part of documentary project for interview.

* American Backpacker or American exchange-student – young, male or
female. Curious about Turkey and Turkey's history.

Please contact myrna.moncayo@gmail.com if you'd be interested in
joining us or if you have friends who are!

Kind Regards,
Myrna

Id be willing to help out, but don't know if I fit into one of your target demographics.

I'm american, but not a backpacker (I work here). Also, I will not be involved in the Turkish elections (is it possible for an American to be?), and actually I probbaly want to be as far away from the chaos that will be Istanbul when said elections take place.

Let me know if you still need my help.

Hi Swimstc, thanks for your reply. Please be so kind as to send your questions to above mentioned email address - since I do not have a clue what to answer.
