 Dolmus locations for Taksim Does anyone know where on the Asian side there is a dolmus hop-on location to go to Taksim? The public transport website does not seem to mention it...

Plenty of places. Try Kadikoy bus station or Bagdat Caddesi.

The closest beginning point to you is in Bostancı Meydanı. They're 4.75 ytl and fill up pretty quickly in general. There is also a rank on the opposite side of the train tracks but they do not fill up as speedily.
