 Fatih...no photos?
I spent the mornıng ın Fatıh and Balat and after takıng a photo a man came out of hıs shop and saıd: No photo here! No photo here! I was takıng a pıcture of a street scene. Was thıs unusual or not?

Yup... Fatih is a very conservative area to say the least, and they mind a lot of things that foreigners do. You should always ask permission to take photos.

(I love takıng candıd shots...but then again I do not want to get killed!!)

interesting!!! but people on that area is a little bit conservative, but pls do not generalise all!!!

PS They only want you to ask for a photo so they have time to pose! Turks are perfect for picture posing!

I'm in and out of Fatih all the time and have never had any problems there. Now, Fatih Carsamba is a whole other world.

Well i dont think Charly said that. But personally, and this is not a criticism, i would guess you are Turkish from the grammar in the use of On instead of In and Is instead of Are.
