Post help, where can I take my visitors?
'We tend to spend a lot of time over dinner here, eating, drinking and chatting so somewhere where we can sit for a few hours over a bottle or two of vino collapso in nice relaxed place would be ideal'

I have some people staying and this is their idea of a nice evening out. Would like to take them somewhere for dinner, preferably on the Asian side, Turkish cuisine and not too pricey. Any ideas?

sorry for the unhelpful comment but had to get it in.
When I get visitors from out of town I just give them an akbil and tell them to get on with it.

Sitare in Kuzguncuk has a nice garden. For a view, there is Katibim in Uskudar - good food, not too crowded, not sure about the wine though.

I once had a great Iftar Menu at the Angel (Fish Restaurant on the Sahil) in Üsküdar. Dont know if it´s good in not Ramazan times. For sure they have alcohol which is not that easy to find in this area.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Banana, I know Rosario's and love it, but my visitors live in Italy so don't think they'll appreciate being taken to an Italian restaurant :)

jellyfish, do you think a meyhane atmosphere/food would fit the bill? Hatay in Bostancı (50 meters from the square) is reasonably priced and delicious. They are known for the variety of their mezes.

A place to check out (which I have not made it to yet) is the Kadıköy Victor Levi Şarap Evi (wine house). Starfish was there a couple of weeks back - maybe she could let you know what she thought?
