Post home-made booze - looking for people to do it with
I'm interested in making some home-made booze this year and am searching for a person or two to do it with. I don't want a big batch of one type of alcohol - better if two or three of us make a batch each and share the results.

Very important: I've not made home-made wine before, although I've seen it done. Am currently researching online of course too.

Doing it in a group would hopefully also mean that we could share the cost of the equipment, and also the storage. I don't think it costs much to buy the equipment but it could be VERY hard to find in Istanbul.

If anyone has any experience with home-brewing please PM me. And if you can point me to a place where I can get the equipment I need (for a reasonable price) you'll get paid in full bottles - home-made stuff if it turns out well, bought stuff if not!

I'm most interested in making mead, wine from a fruit other than grapes (don't care, just want to be different), and port (though that'll be difficult, I believe).

Post Hi Maenad...
Yours is the greatest idea I've heard in weeks when you consider the alcoholic beverage prices in Turkey!
I've been trying the same on liqueurs and the last peach liqueur I managed wasn't bad at all!

Contact me at my nick plus hotmail if you wanna share ideas...

Attila
