Post January Sales
Does anybody know when the sales start? I seem to remember that they were a little premature here in turkey in the past, but they still haven't started. Any ideas?

Quite a lot of the shops have started their sales already, the rest should be starting soon.

Thanks. It's M and S I'm waiting for, cos I've seen some pyjamas that have sold out in the Uk but they are 145ytl, which is scandalous as they were only 35 quid full price back home!

I've just come back from Bahariye and there were sales galore. There were women crawling over each other at Mango as if they were hawking the gear at 'Bir milyon bir milyon' like the Kadıköy Salı Pazarı.

M&S have just sent me an sms saying that their sale starts on the morning of the 6th. Happy Shopping :D

Bahariye is the main shopping street in Kadıköy, a 5 minute walk up from the ferry quay.

The Mango store isn't an outlet but it is multi-story and a pretty decent size.

oh yes, mango in bahariye, or better yet, mango that's on sale in bahariye.
Last time i was there during the MSM* there was a line that stretched to the stairs, and women (or their boyfriends) had to wait on the stairs.

I told my friend that i would be waiting for her at gloria jean's, luckily I had my laptop with me, because I waited for more than half an hour.

*MSM=Mango Sale Madness.
