that shouldn't be too hard. from what i remember the havas bus is already there waiting in the parking when the ferry arrives. and if it's not (it may be late), there are always taxis at the parking as well, it is only a short trip from bakirkoy to the airport.

At the time of day you're going (rush hour) I wouldn't even dream of going from Taksim. Really the best bet is to get the ferry and then if there is no bus waiting just get a cab. It'll only be about 10YTL.

I think you would miss your flight whatever you do. Shame really, to help cheer you up you could send me the ticket and I'd send you a postcard from wherever you were going.
I'll just get my passport ........

The last several trips to Atatürk Airport for me have consisted of the fast ferry and then the Havaş bus. The Havaş bus is always there, right as rain (it meets every ferry from Kadıköy/Bostancı) - you'll always notice several airline employees using the ferry/Havaş combo. 4 YTL.
You can take the 16:20 Kadıköy ferry arriving to Bakırköy at 16:50 and getting to the airport just a shade past 17:00. Or if this is cutting it too close for you, there is also a 15:20 ferry from Kadıköy.

Don't forget the Friday pazar in Kadıköy (give yourself a little extra time).
