IMHO, you might as well be living in Greece.

I lived in Florya for 8 months 3 years ago, and I wouldn't move their again.
It's nice and quiet, but that's about it.

Depending on what you're looking for, obviously.

Florya is a nice neighbour. It is not far at all, from the airport at least. You will soon know all kinds of airplanes from their bottom side, then you can take part in a show and win a lot of money with that knowledge. There's also one of the best restaurants in Istanbul there, called Beyti.

I'd much rather go to yours.

Florya is quite a way from the centre of Istanbul, it'll be a 30 minute taxi ride at least, and on bad traffic days (approx 360 a year) it'll take longer. On the plus side it's quieter and you'll be very near the airport. There is a shopping centre nearby, although it's not one of the designer brand outlet centres, which I assume as a footballer's partner you'll prefer. I think there's a good sized expat community in the area so making friends should be fairly easy.

That's all I know, about anything. I'm a bit thick you see.

Some people from this forum play football on weekends, for some reason, perhaps you know someone who might want to join them? He doesn't have to be good, in fact all he needs is to be able to run for at least five minutes without needing a cigarette break.

Good luck with the move.

Depends on where work will be but if it isnt around the airport area then there is no point living in Florya, better off in Göktürk or on the Boğaz hatı. But like I said it depends on where the work place is. Where is it by the way?
