But that's the thing there are NOT that many, most of the places that are highlighted above have maybe 5 fish on hand, generally the exact same ones, only two of them perhaps any good, often with soggy or hardened rice, etc. You overpay for it and if you really know good Sushi you will be really disappointed (keep in mind that many people including obviously some posting on this forum thing a selection of three kinds of Maki is sushi.....ick).

Homestore in Akmerkez is indeed one of the better places for sushi.
The surroundings may not be the nicest in Istanbul, but the do a very reasonable sushi done at the separate sushi bar by a Japanese 'chef'.
Tokyo in Taksim has a great choice and the quality is more then acceptable, and reasonably priced for Istanbul.
