Post Picnic in the Park
Hi, I have heard that last year, we could have picnic in the park which is in the Sabanci Museum with classical music in the background (for a bit of romantism) Do you know if it is taking place this summer?

Never heard of that, but there are many good picnic spots in Istanbul. Anywhere alongside the E-5 seems popular, as does any scrap of land 2m from any roadside. Music is provided by the sounds of cars & trucks passing by.

personally i prefer the spot in the middle of the highway off-ramp (that little circle of green). so what if the football game played there endangers traffic when the ball goes foul... or if the kids' kites flop onto windshields of speeding cars when the wind drops?

Attended once (breakfast on the grass plot) about 2 years ago I think. With live jazz music and paid 30 or 35YTL. Not sure whether they'll have it this year.
