Post Sacrifice Holiday aka Kurban Bayram
I will be travelling to the bul from the shires this weekend and I have a desire to purchase some farm livestock in order to kill it in a most gruesome fashion in the name of god. Therein lies the problem, I'm not sure whether to bring my own or to buy them while I'm there and would appreciate some details regarding prices of the following so that I may make a comparison with the local fare.

1.Goats
2.Sheep (ewe and ram)
3.Bulls
4.Cows
5.Chinchilla
6.Small kittens

Thank you for your help

i have never actually been in turkey during the kurban bayram - usually it is at the same time as our school holiday...
should i expect gore? madness as black clothed women run through the streets slapping bloody handprints on people and doors? sheep bleeting on rooftops and cheers as the throat is cut?
i only mention these things specifically bc my first year here i was in egypt - cairo - for it.. and it was crazy bloody (and i mean the red fluid.. not being britishy here) madness
and then all the mosques played this cool killing the sheep song and it bounced all over the city for about an hour... or maybe the song was about haj.. i dunno.. it was cool
but i was in shock after witnessing 3 different sheep on 3 tall tall rooftops get sliced and gutted
.. i am vegetarian mind u... but i .. couldnt... stop... watching....

will my neighbours kill the damn cats in the courtyard this year?

Do not open any closed rubbish bins during this period, unless you have a very strong stomach or are a collector of sheep's heads.

I've heard that Turkish Airlines does a good side line in camels if you are interested.
