Sharing the Happiness - Indian Cultural Centre in Istanbul
Dear EIT Folks,
As some of you may know very soon, Mr. Nararatna Das ( Facilitator) will be opening “INDIAN CULTURAL CENTER in Taxim in a aim to share the rich Indian heritage with you all. I was there last weekend and now 90% of works has been finished and in good shape.
This center will facilitate Indian culture such as meetings, lectures, presentations, performance, temple activities, yoga, dance, music, philosophy and cooking. There are some plan to establish a Vegetarian Restaurant (ofcourse with true Indian flavours) within this premises (with the objective to run in Non-Profit basis).
The website http://indianculturalcenter.org/ is underconstruction now.
There is a program coming up on 04 September evening.
So anyone who has even a slight interest in indian culture / heritage, please drop by and contact Mr. Nararatna Das @ 05352513021.

Oh Sure. Many more to come. The facility is available at free of cost. There will be library, rental DVDs, Indian traditional dresses etc. Pls. visit on Sep 04 evening positively.
It is nothing to do with Indian Embassy or the Indian Social Club in Istanbul. This cultural center is totally managed by Mr. Nara.

Hey raja, I was good to meet you last night - faces to names and all that.
The programme was very impressive, the food excellent and the dance was brilliant.

Hi Raja,
Sorry I didn't make it last night, my wife had to stay late at work and we didn't make it over to Taksim. It sounds like a great show was done.

I went to the event but I got there at 8 and preparations had hardly begun, sadly I couldn't convince my friends to stay and wait it out. Hope to make it to the next one.

Hi Mija,
Absolutely. The event on 04 Sep was "Hare krishna". Lord Krishna Bday. Arti, Abishekam, dance, chants, meditations, plenty of food ( prasadam) all the whole nine yards. You really missed it.
