 Turkish junk shops?
Does anyone like to go hunting for cool old Turkish junk? If so, do you know of any good places to go or does anyone want to go with me? I bought an old oil lamp last night at a place at the bottom of the hill

There's loads of them on Cukurcuma, in Cihangir. Some are really expensive (overpriced). There's one run by a Kurdish guy who has tons of really random stuff.

I don't know of any places to check out, but I'd definitely be interested in joining the hunt!

From Cihangir Sq/firuzaga camii, turn right and walk down hill (if you're coming from Taksim). Take the stairs next to the market. At the bottom of the street, turn right. You'll start to see some of the more expensive shops. Turn left at the green mosque onto Cukurcuma. There are 5-7 shops on that street alone. The are more on the next street up hill too.
My favorite shop is the last one on the street, right across from the puppet theater on the left.
