 Cheap crash space in Izmir Anyone know of decent crash space in Izmir? Must not have bed bugs, water bugs, or scorpions. Private bathroom also greatly appreciated.

19 now.....
I was trying to think of the place that we stayed in 3 years ago but I think it was only available because of my Father-in-laws status as a retired politician; in much the same way as the teacher hostels.
I'll see whether Nihan can talk to her Uncle, as they live in Izmir but I suspect that they'll be at their Summer house.

Sorry to report that the Izmir section off the family are currently in the South, after which they'll go to Eskisehir (more family) and then to Izmir late Sept.

Oh well. We're kind of thinking of going either to Foca or Çesme now anyway.

Cesme is nice, we were there in 2002 and experienced an earthquake on the beach; very strange experience.

I would head for Foca...We were there on Friday night (but staying with family) Izmir was just toooo hot....sorry I cant be more helpful  One thing though make sure you dont end up in yeni Foca it's a hole...nice view of an oil refinary and a steel works!
