 Sad loss at Izmir zoo Poor Pak Bahardir the elephant died while he was being operated on, may he rest in peace.  His female elephant friend is all on her own now in that awful zoo. We used to visit the zoo with our boys when they were little and always threw apples and bread to Pak. http://www.care2.com/c2c/groups/disc.ht ... l=&posts=5

It's not that sad. I mean, it was only an elephant and they are pretty useless. They just stand there waving their trunks about and remembering things. Stupid ears too.
I don't think it was very nice of you to throw apples at it, how would you like it if people did the same to you?

if people did not visit zoos, there would be no zoos any more. which would make the earth a better place for animals. pak bahardir is surely having the best time of his life now.
