Paul - Pay for them in cash as opposed to what?!?

Will try and fit a couple of them in. But only if you're visiting the Bul fairly soon. Will be a good excuse for you to come and meet some of the EIT lushes!!!!

DAY 9 & 10 UPDATE

Yesterday (day 9) I didnt actually stay in town all day. I decided to go tubing again. Only this time it was peeing down with rain and I decided to take a short cut home around the front of the island outside our balcony. Thats when I found out why the tour guides dont take you on this route!!!! I guided 4 new friends along the river and assured them that "this way is quicker and will get us next to our hotel" So, we stopped at the little wooden bridge just along from our hotel and I waded into shore. One of the girls then queried "why the water was 'warmer' here and a slightly different colour??" Upon further inspection, it appears that I had expertly guided us to the sewage outlet, pumping sh*t into the river :shock: :shock: :shock: I couldnt actually see anything in the water, so I prefer to believe it was just excess rain water from the towns drainage system/................... [-o{

Today I have done naff all. Its been raining since yesterday afternoon. Banana went out on a quad bike with a couple of other guys today and had a blast. She came back caked in mud with stories about the tour guide who was so stoned and drunk, he kept getting lost on the way home. Banana is now rather the worse for wear, after imbibing the local moonshine and beer this evening. I shall go and rescue her shortly. I, surprisingly have only had 2 beers so far. Time to put that right in a minute!!!! I couldnt go because there werent enough bikes, but I was quite happy to stay in town and not get in the sh*t again!!

Hope you all enjoy the photos and videos. I put a lot of work into this, so you'd better bloody enjoy them!!!!!

Tomorrow morning at 8.30am, we return to Luang Prabang for 2 nights. Some more temples and maybe the waterfall trip. No 'happy' or 'mushroom' menus unfortunately

Nite all ...................

Post banana signs back in...
ok folks.. i have notably been a bit too lazy with getting my two cents in...
what with all the outdoor sports and the "herbal cigarettes" :-^ i have been partaking in
i just had not made it to an internet cafe...
and as far as who is going to get the trophy drinking the most beer lao, i think monkey and i are having a race to the finish hahah :thumbleft:
anyways - laos is truly one of the most beautiful places i have ever been!! and in VV the sports are just great... yes its hot and sometimes a little uncomfortabelt to ride your bike around in the heat.. but when you do.... ahh the stuff you see!!!
yesterday one of the scots and i rented quads and went offroading - it was an amazing day of getting covered in red red dirt, cow dung (stuart swore it was good for the skin haha) and hanging out with locals .. and allowing them to ply us with "lao lao" a local home brew with various sticks, berries and i am quite convinced, some funny mushrooms...
becuase the drive back was much more fun hahaah
zoom zoom
anyways - back in Luang Prabang... and it looks like i am going to have to stick to things on the menu that i can only eat again :-s ... and tomorrow we will be temple temple templing before heading back to Thailand
you would be proud of Monkey - he is being a real sport and really throwing himself into the whole South East Asia experience and is meeting as many new people as I am
... methinks a backpacker exists inside this city boy :D
cheers all
and have a great summer!
