Hi All

Here's something I would like to share. Got it from BudgetonLine.

TRUE STORIES
Dude Needs a Ziploc
After a long day of exploring Granada, Nicaragua, my friend and I stopped in a liquor store for beer. When the clerk asked me something, I smiled and said, "No." He opened my beer and poured it into a plastic bag. I finally figured out that I had declined to put down a deposit on the bottle. --Carron Hampton, Savannah, Ga.

When I was working in Malaysia, tea and coffee was routinely served in plastic bags with a straw.

Post Uses for plastic bags
When I was working in China my students would hack up and spit on the concrete floor in class all the time...finally I got them to compromise by still spitting, but onto a tissue of the floor. It was y=u=u=u=cky....
Maybe I should have got them to use ziplocks as the next most hygeinic possible solution..

I think its their habit cos they did the same thing in Singapore years back. Not in the classroom though but on the street pavements and thereby attracted the flies. When the govt started on the KEEP THE CITY CLEAN campaign and imposed a fine on those guilty ones that habit finally came to a stop.

I suppose the SIN govt must have very good reasons for banning chewing gum. Interestingly, last trip there saw some youngsters still chewing happily away.
