 First single you bought?
Was listening to Blondie in the car and it got me all nostalgic. The first single I ever bought was 'Prince Charming' by Adam & the Ants. The cover had little doors on with pictures of the band members (Marco, Merrick, Terry Lee, Gary Tibbs & Yours Truly....) behind, much like advent calenders before they had chocolates in. And so began my fascination for 7 inches

In the Summertime by Mungo Jerry. I guess a few of you won't remember him, so I've been trying for the last 20mins to attach a photo here but can't get it to work. I guess David Simpson will remember him as he's from the same era as Ballroom Blitz (I had a massive crush on Brian Connelly)

This is a question that has baffled many, mostly lawyers. Nobody knows which era he comes from.

Well, as I remember it was the era that sartorial elegance forgot - mullets, loons, oxford bags, 8-button deep waistbands, crochet'd tank tops, 32" flares - and that was just the boys.
