just received this notice. don't think anyone on this list is into this kind of thing, but i've
been surprised before. so, for what it's worth....
Concert. MUSIC FROM THE HEART - classical, and opera music sung by counter tenor - RUDI ROMERI accompanied by pianist Petek Bilgili. Songs from composers: G.B.PERGOLESI, C.FRANCK, H.PURCELL, J.S.BACH, G.F.HANDEL, COLONEL MELLISH. 16th FEBRUARY 2007 at 1900h CRIMEAN CHURCH, SERDAR EKREM SOK 83, BEYOGLU. 20 YTL (students 10 YTL).

i hear ya...i'm not big on churches ... but then again, there's Agia Eirine and
i'm sure you've been there!!
don't be afraid of this one...Father Ian is a real rebel 'priest'...you should go
and check him out. besides, the church is a real sanctuary in the middle of
the tunel area of istanbul...go through the gates and it's a different world.
although ian and i have great differences of opinion about politics, he's a
'funny fella'...
go check it out...and say 'hi' to him from me!!

Yeah I know the place. Used to live in Dogan which is next door - another sanctuary but with better wine.
Heard a few stories about the Parson of course  )
