Actually I'm a classically trained pianist and a member of the Royal Academy...but churches scare me.

hi charly..

i hear ya...i'm not big on churches ... but then again, there's Agia Eirine and
i'm sure you've been there!!

don't be afraid of this one...Father Ian is a real rebel 'priest'...you should go
and check him out. besides, the church is a real sanctuary in the middle of
the tunel area of istanbul...go through the gates and it's a different world.

although ian and i have great differences of opinion about politics, he's a
'funny fella'...

go check it out...and say 'hi' to him from me!!

a.

Yeah I know the place. Used to live in Dogan which is next door - another sanctuary but with better wine.
Heard a few stories about the Parson of course :o)

Bit of info for you AG as you are out of the city:
There's a blinking Gloria Jeans now in Tünel. Where the Four Seasons was. For God's sake.

Raki is good for me!
