Always late to the coolness party, I finally got myself an iPod while visiting the folks in California last month. In lieu of the shuffle thing, which I will probably figure out soon, here are my Top 7 Most Played, from #1 to #7:
Even Flow - Pearl Jam
Enjoy the Silence - Depeche Mode
Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley
Hotel California - Eagles
Heartbeats - Jose Gonzalez
Black - Pearl Jam
Serenade - Steve Miller Band

No, I better learn to use it... it has screen for movies, over 30 Gb HDD and good sound quality... I thought it would be simplier as it is made by Bill, but no...

Got wifey a simple ipod for Christmas. And so now I have an idea of what all this ipod talk is about. The shuffle thing that popped up on hers (therefore mine as I'm the only person to actually rip our cds) was:
New morning - Nick Cave and the bad seeds
State trooper - bruce springsteen
Over you - Velvet underground
No good (start the dance) - the prodigy
Open all night - another bruce springsteen
Hersey bos (arabic) - Nez
On the wall - jesus and Mary chain

Nice random selections from both Oz and Delridge. The above tune is a lovely lively, searing breakbeat number (with a fine video).
Also a big shout goes out to Nick Cave (the boatman's call is one hell of a album). BTW anyone seen the Proposition? I read a lovely article about its filming in the Australian outback.

Ah, No Good brings back memories of my final year of A-Levels in Germany. What a tune, indeed. In fact, the entire album was great.

They have an advert here in the US of Josh Groban's new album. The bartender and the server fall instantly in love while Josh is singing his love song on the stage nearby. How likely is that to happen in real life?
I just did another shuffle and these came up:
Beautiful - Mandalay
Standing in the Sun - Howie Day
One Week - Barenaked Ladies
7 Seconds - Youssou N'Dour & Neneh Cherry
Mr. Brightside - The Killers
Don't Dream It's Over - Crowded House
Aska Yurek Gerek - Dilek Budak
